Worldwide in a virtual world

Short presentation of the event: GeoNight
This event will be organized for students of elementary school. The program will be held online (teams platform). During the school in march, students will research some sights of the homeland and countries worldwide and draw images of the most significant monuments and sights of the homeland and other countries and some other images with the theme „geography”. We will make virtual exibition (book) of their works. On the 9th of April we will make a Geoquizz on a teams platform(how much do they know about geography, countries, monuments, …). With this event we want to encourage studenst for traveling and to get to know more about countries and their cultures. Every student will get a confirmation for their participation on GeoNight.

Noć geografije
Ovaj događaj će se organizirati za učenike osnovne škole. Program će se održati online (na platformi teams). Tijekom nastave u ožujku učenici će istraživati o znamenitostima svoje domovine i drugih zemalja svijeta te će izabrati neku od znamenitosti koju će slikovno prikazati. Također će izrađivati slikovne prikaze na temu geografije. Od njihovih radova ćemo napraviti virtualnu izložbu (knjigu) koju ćemo postaviti na istu platformu. Na dan 9. travnja ćemo održati Geokviz na kojemu će učenici provjeravati svoje znanje o geografskim pojmovima te znamenitostima koje su proučavali i upoznali. Obilježavanjem ovog dana učenike potičemo na upoznavanje novih država i njihovih kultura. Svaki učenik će dobiti potvrdu o sudjelovanju u Noći geografije.

Objectives: With this event we want to promote geography and to encourage students to research new conutries and new cultures.
