La géographie pour faire société
Description:
We want to organize a roundtable discussion on geographical issues and their contribution to analyzing contemporary challenges. The goal is to highlight the role of geographers: how their perspective, methods, and studies can influence policies and reshape our understanding of territories. This discussion will explore how geography can help make our societies more resilient and better adapted to climate change, as well as to societal, international, and geopolitical challenges.
Main objectives:
The goal of this event is to give both geography students and non-geographers the opportunity to debunk common misconceptions about geography by revisiting some aspects of its epistemology. More importantly, it aims to foster a sense of geographic and civic awareness, encouraging the emergence of a shared identity as citizens by the geographic approach.
