Opening Geography, Opening Museum: looking beyond to reshape horizons

Description:

Evening opening of the exhibition “Landscapes” at the Novara Castle Visconteo-Sforzesco for a guided and animated tour, with the active engagement of students from some UPO geography courses involved in a challenge of the PNRR NODES Spoke3 project.

Main objectives:

Landscape is undoubtedly a key theme in geography, charged with meaning and in constant reinvention. It reflects and stimulates dialogue on pressing issues such as climate change, sustainability and our relationship with nature, which are open fields for today’s geographies.
The guided and animated tour of the current exhibition ‘Landscapes. Reality, impression, symbol’ will allow Geonight participants to critically and creatively move from the world of art to the world of cultural and tourism design, outlining its role as a lever for sustainable development and a common future. This first-person experience will also make it possible to understand the importance of making ancient and historical containers, such as the castle, living and open heritage.
