“GeoPiknik na Żylecie” is a popular science event promoting Earth sciences among the local community and school youth. It’s 4th edition will take place on April 4, 2025 (Friday) in Sosnowiec at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice. The event is a science fair open to anyone interested in Earth sciences. Guests will be able to enjoy scientific demonstrations, workshops, lectures, tours, games and competitions.

Main objectives: popularization of geography and Earth sciences among the local community and school youth

The event will be: “Live” in presence
