“GeoPiknik na Żylecie” is a popular science event promoting Earth sciences. It’s 4th edition will take place on April 4, 2025 (Friday) in Sosnowiec at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Silesia in Katowice. As in previous years, the event will have a festival character – we open the doors of our faculty to anyone interested in Earth sciences. Guests will be able to enjoy scientific demonstrations, workshops, lectures, tours, games and competitions.

popularization of geography and Earth sciences among the local community and school youth
