Historical-geographical-educational hike “Aisiu Lietuvon” (“I’ll go to Lithuania”)

Description:

The hike is intended to introduce senior schoolchildren and adults to the history of the occupation period of the Vilnius region, connected with real historical events in the vicinity of the villages of Palūšė, Meironai, Vaišniūnai, and the lives of real people. The hike route follows the interwar demarcation line, which very clearly reflects the local landscape, and leads past significant geographical, natural, and cultural heritage sites.

Main objectives:

This event is intended to introduce people to the local history of interwar period, connected with real historical events in the vicinity of the villages of Palūšė, Meironai, Vaišniūnai, the lives of real people and what influence did the geographical location have on this.
