At Kaunas Waldorf School, we traveled through time zones all night. We started the event at 8:00 PM. On the other side of the globe, it was a beautiful morning 🙂 We followed the Sun all night and “traveled” across the country until 8:00 AM “came back” to Lithuania. During the night, we “visited” many countries and nations, some of which we even danced! In Hawaii, we danced Limbo, played a quiz, tasted Hawaiian medley, rice pudding and Hawaiian lemonade. Anička, a volunteer from Europe Solidarity Corp, impressively told us about Vietnam, we did the usual morning exercise of a Vietnamese school, and danced the traditional Vietnamese “Sap” dance. Upon “arriving” in India, the eleventh graders danced an Indian dance and treated everyone to traditional Indian spiced tea with milk, and the participants of the event tested their knowledge about India in a quiz.
We also “traveled” around the world playing GeoGuessr 🙂 And when we were tired from traveling, board games kept us awake.
Lithuanian Geographical Society, thank you for “infecting” us with this initiative! 🙂
