Predavanje bo v petek, 5. aprila 2024 ob 20.00 uri v Kulturnem domu v Bovcu! V predavanju “Bovška krajina nekoč in danes. Kako omejiti zaraščanje” bo avtor s pomočjo vizualnega in drugega dokumentarnega gradiva (letalski, satelitski posnetki, zračni posnetki z dronom, stari in novejši foto posnetki bovške krajine, karte izrabe tal) udeležencem srečanja prikazal, kako se je pokrajina Bovške kotline in njenih sosednjih območij spreminjala in spremenila v zadnjih šestdesetih letih. Vključeno bo tudi obdobje pred in po 1. svetovni vojni. Zunanji izgled bovške pokrajine/krajine se je zaradi različnih vplivov vzadnihi sto letih spreminjal takorekoč brez prestanka. Najbrž pa ni v interesu družbene skupnosti, še posebej zaradi turističnega razvoja in ponudbe, da izginjajo obdelovalne površine in se namesto njih širita ničvredno grmovje in mlad gozd. Mnoge bovške značilnosti, pogledi in razgledi se s tem nepovratno izgubljajo.

The lecture will take place on Friday, April 5th, 2024 at 20.00 in the Cultural Centre in Bovec! In the lecture “The Bovec Landscape Once and Now. How to limit overgrowth”, the author will use visual and other documentary material (aerial, satellite and drone images, old and more recent photos of the Bovec landscape, land use maps) to show the participants how the landscape of the Bovec basin and its neighbouring areas has changed and evolved over the last sixty years. The period before and after the First World War will also be included. The external appearance of the Bovec landscape/landscape has changed almost continuously over the last 100 years due to various influences. It is probably not in the interest of the social community, especially in the interests of tourism development and supply, that arable land should disappear and be replaced by worthless scrub and young forest. Many of Bovec’s features, views and vistas are irretrievably lost.
