The conference is aimed at improving the interaction between the geographical community and representatives of public authorities, determining the place of geography in the system of secondary and higher education. It is planned to involve representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, NGOs, etc. During the event, attention will be paid to the functions of geography as a worldview science that defines public awareness and provides the basis for the development of many sectors of the economy, and sustainable spatial development in general. The main problems geographical science and education have been faced over the past decade will also be identified, as well as the risks associated with the “displacement” of geography from educational curriculums.

To outline the role and capacity of geographical science and education for the development of Ukrainian society in wartime and postwar era
