Light pollution is a change in the level of natural light in night conditions caused by human activity, or more precisely by the influence of artificial lighting on the brightness of the night sky. Students will observe the sky and determine the visibility of the stars at their location. Data will be entered into the Globe at Night global database and compared with other locations in Croatia and the world.
Main objectives:
Getting to know the concept of light pollution, the causes of light pollution and measuring the visibility of stars in the sky, entering data into the Globe at Night database and comparing data from different locations.
