Short presentation of the event: Cette année 2022 marque la troisième édition de la Nuit de la Géographie au Bénin. En prélude à cet événement, il sera organisé une formation en cartographie du 30 mars au 1er avril 2022. Le 1er avril de 14h à 16h, il sera procédé à l’amendement, à l’adoption des textes et à la mise en place du nouveau Bureau de l’Association Béninoise de Géographie. Ensuite de 16h à 18h30, il sera animé une causerie-débat sur le thème: ”La géographie béninoise d’hier à aujourd’hui”. Les invités à cette causerie-débat seront entre autres quelques Anciens Enseignants du Département de Géographie, les Géographes Enseignants du Supérieur et du Secondaire, les Géographes qui sont dans d’autres secteurs d’activités (public et privé), les doctorants, les étudiants de niveaux master et licence et toutes les personnes intéressées par la géographie. Enfin, de 18h30 à 22h, il sera organisé un Maparthon sur une ville qui sera choisie ultérieurement.

This year 2022 marks the third edition of the Night of Geography in Benin. As a prelude to this event, a cartography training will be organized from March 30 to April 1, 2022. On April 1st from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, it will be proceeded to the amendment, to the adoption of the texts and to the setting up of the new Bureau of the Beninese Association of Geography. Then, from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm, a talk-debate will be held on the theme: “Beninese geography from yesterday to today”. The guests at this talk-debate will be, among others, some former teachers of the Department of Geography, geographers teaching in higher and secondary schools, geographers who are in other sectors of activity (public and private), doctoral students, students of master’s degree and license and all people interested in geography. Finally, from 6:30 pm to 10 pm, a Maparthon will be organized on a city to be chosen later.
