Geoguessr avec une géographe

Short presentation of the event: Le jeu Geoguessr a gagné en popularit ces dernières années ; il consiste à deviner où on se trouve à partir du service Google Street View, en se baladant, en regardant les panneaux… Cet évènement en ligne se concentrera sur les Etats-Unis, et se fera en compagnie d’Anne-Lise Boyer, docteure en géographie vivant aux Etats-Unis, spécialiste des questions environnementales en Arizona, qui commentera avec nous les paysages étasuniens. Le stream durera environ 2h, en commençant à 21h.

The game Geoguessr gained popularity in recent years ; it is an online game where you are thrown somewhere in Google Street View and must discover where you are (which country, which region..). This event will consist of a stream of a few Geoguessr game set in the United States ; accompagnying me will be Anne-Lise Boyer, PHD, a French geographer who recently worked on ecological issues in Arizona.

Objectives: The goal is to play geoguessr, a quite mainstream video game, with a geographer, and a specialist of a particular region (here, the United States). The goal is to give another view of both Geoguessr (as more than a game but also a geographical way of discovering the world) and the United States (through the commentaries of a specialist).
