Virtual Geography: a tour through Portugal and Recovery and Resilience Plan – In five years, what country will we have?

Short presentation of the event:
A) Geography is the science that guides us through a symbiosis between natural, humanized, and relational spaces. Now, as in the past, every citizen does geography every day. In the field of representations, recent changes based on virtual spaces have made this science even more attractive, relevant and fun for any citizen. Embarking on this journey will enable you to contact and handle some of the New Geographical Information Technologies.
B) The Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) is a nationally applicable program, with an implementation period until 2026, which will implement a set of reforms and investments aimed at restoring sustained economic growth after the pandemic, reinforcing the goal of convergence with Europe over the next decade. The round table will be moderated by Professor Teresa Sá Marques, member of the National Monitoring Committee of the RRP, and will have the participation of two Geographer(s), Dr. Célia Ramos, Vice-President of CCDR-Norte, and Professor Nuno Costa, lecturer at IGOT and specialist in transport and mobility.
Objectives: Demonstrate that Geography can be fun and interesting for all citizens.
The importance of geographers in the challenges of competitiveness, sustainability, connectivity, inclusion, and social and territorial cohesion.
